UV / Fade Resistant
The fibers of Sunbrella® Solution dyed Acrylic fabrics are saturated with highly UV stable pigments.The performance characteristics are built into the fabric, not applied later on.

Sunbrella performance fabrics have been awarded the Seal of Recommendation by the Skin Cancer Foundation, an international organization dedicated to the prevention of skin cancer.
Glen Raven, which manufactures Sunbrella fabrics, also has become a member of the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Corporate Council.
“The public’s awareness of the risks of sun exposure and the connection with skin cancer is growing every year,” said Dr. Perry Robins, president of the Skin Cancer Foundation (www.skincancer.org), which has awarded its seal to more than 380 products.
“When consumers purchase products that carry our Seal of Recommendation, they can be confident that they are getting a safe and effective sun protection product,” he said.
To earn the seal, a manufacturer must prove to a committee of experts that its product sufficiently and safely “aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.”
Sunbrella awning and furniture fabrics met the foundation’s standards for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, a measure of the ultraviolet light passing through the fabric.
“Consumers have long selected awnings, umbrellas and boat tops made from Sunbrella fabrics because of the protection they provide,” said Harry Gobble, director of marketing for Glen Raven. “With the (seal) … consumers are now assured that an independent organization has documented the level of sun protection.”
