If you install a solar shade in front of an insect or any other type of screen by a window, door, or patio screen room
opening, you will get a psychedelic pattern called a Moiré effect. A Moiré effect is when two similar patterns of lines (like the vertical and horizontal threads weaved into a solar screen) overlap with imperfect alignment. Light and dark patterns appear called a Moiré effect. It is unavoidable, and, a fact that you will have this if you have two screens overlapping. So, please consider this when purchasing a solar shade to keep out the sun.
